Simpson Strong-Bolt 2 anchors are ICC-ES code compliant, non-bottom-bearing wedge anchors designed for cracked or uncracked concrete. They are suitable for static and seismic loading conditions.

Simpson Strong-Tie STB2-504346SS Installation Overview

1. Drill a hole in the base material using a carbide drill bit of the same diameter as the anchor.
2. Blow the hole clean using compressed air.
3. Assemble the anchor with nut and washer, ensuring the nut is flush with the top of the anchor.
4. Place the anchor in the fixture and drive it into the hole until the washer and nut are tight against the fixture.
5. Tighten to the required installation torque.

NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench to set or tighten the Strong-Bolt 2 anchor. Oversized holes in the base material will make it difficult to set the anchor and will reduce the anchor’s load capacity.
