Simpson Strong-Tie MMLU28-2 Installation Overview

1. Install nails with a powered nail tool, ensuring face protection.
2. Adjust nail tool pressure to avoid overdriving nails.
3. Insert at least one 8d x 1 1/2″ or 10d x 1 1/2″ nail into each nailing grid.
4. Follow the MMLU Installation and Load Table for additional nails.
5. Ensure minimum vertical spacing of nails is 1/2″ to prevent splitting.
6. Verify MMLU height is at least 60% of joist height for rotation resistance.
7. Install I-joist web stiffeners or floor truss end vertical webs if required.
