Simpson PGT2A Description

The Simpson PGT2A Pipe Grip Tie is designed for securely attaching 2-3/8″ OD metal fence posts to wood fence rails, providing a robust and reliable connection.

Simpson PGT2A Features

• G90 Galvanized finish for corrosion resistance
• Designed for 2-3/8″ OD metal fence posts
• Can be field bent one time for corner or angled positions
• Flush installation to fence rail
• Compatible with SDS 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ heavy duty screws

• Fence construction: Securely attaches metal posts to wood rails
• Replacement of old wood posts with metal posts

Simpson PGT2A Installation Overview

1. Use all specified fasteners
2. Install on vertical pipes, offsetting corners for correct rail alignment
3. Use 3 to 4 PGTs per pipe, aligning to stringline
4. Fasten PGT with 1/4″ hex head bolt (supplied)
5. Attach rails with four SDS 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ HDG wood screws (not supplied)
6. Field bend PGT flanges for corner and angled conditions (bend one time only)
